BTB Passport is an internal employee-engagement app operated by the Belize Tourism Board ("BTB") for its employees. It is distributed privately and cannot be used by anyone without a BTB network account. This policy explains what the app collects and how BTB uses it.
The camera is used only to scan check-in QR codes. Camera frames are processed on your device and are never stored or uploaded.
This information is used solely to run the employee engagement program: recording stamps and points, fulfilling reward redemptions, sending program announcements, and detecting misuse of the program. Participation data is visible to the HR and IT staff who administer the program.
BTB Passport contains no advertising and no third-party analytics. Your data is not sold, is not shared with third parties, and is not used to track you across other apps or websites. All data is stored on BTB-operated systems and transmitted over encrypted connections.
Notifications and location permission are optional; declining them limits only the related features (push alerts and location check-ins). Signing out of the app ends the session on that device. When your employment with BTB ends, your access is deactivated and your sessions are revoked.
Program records are kept for the duration of your participation in the program and are retained afterward only as required by BTB's internal record-keeping and audit policies.
